Cultivating a Christian Worldview in the Hearts of Appalachia Students
Appalachia Christian Academy is a Christian homeschool community and support organization providing weekly sports and fellowship meetings, while guiding a parent with selecting a complete, biblically grounded core and elective curriculum for grade 9–12 students from BJU Press. Parents remain the primary instructors at home along with certified online teachers, and we provide athletics, enrichment, structure, academic oversight, documentation, and Christ-centered support.

Fostering Fellowship and a Life of Service
Appalachia Christian Academy holds weekly events such as our Homeschool Fellowship (Mondays) and Sports and Outreach (Fridays) at Gateway Christian Church of Mt. Sterling, KY. Occasional special events such as Fall Festivals and graduations are held there, as well. Other special events such as missions and outreaches take place throughout the year to teach our students to lead a life of service.
Our Appalachia Christian Academy Community
Appalachia Christian Academy is a Christian homeschool umbrella academy that comes alongside families with support, records, and community—not a brick-and-mortar school.
Monday/Thursday Homeschool Fellowship
A Christian homeschool support community providing connection, encouragement, and enrichment opportunities for families. Workshops, field trips, year books, games and sports, and outreach opportunities are engrained in the program. This program meets weekly on Mondays and sometimes Thursdays.
Our Mission
At Appalachia Christian Academy, our mission is to support Christian families in providing a rigorous, well-structured, and biblically grounded homeschool education. We are not a traditional school or classroom. Instead, we operate as a Christian homeschool community and support organization where parents remain the primary instructors, and we provide oversight, records, and guidance.
