Empowering students through Biblically grounded, academic excellence

Cultivating a Christian Worldview in the Hearts of Appalachia Students

Appalachia Christian Academy is a Christian homeschool community and support organization providing weekly sports and fellowship meetings, while providing a complete, biblically grounded core curriculum for grades 6–12 as part of standard tuition. Parents remain the primary instructors at home, and we provide curriculum, structure, academic oversight, documentation, and Christ-centered support.

Fostering Fellowship and a Life of Service

Appalachia Christian Academy holds weekly events such as our Homeschool Fellowship (Mondays) and Sports and Outreach (Fridays) at Gateway Christian Church of Mt. Sterling, KY.  Occasional special events such as Fall Festivals and graduations are held there, as well. Other special events such as missions and outreaches take place throughout the year to teach our students to lead a life of service.

The Appalachia Christian Academy Community

Appalachia Christian Academy is a Christian homeschool umbrella academy that comes alongside families with support, records, and community—not a brick-and-mortar school.

Academy

Our academy serves homeschool families with students in grades 6–12. ACA provides the core curriculum as part of standard tuition, which parents teach at home. We also provide academic oversight, transcripts, report cards, graduation documentation, and guidance for Kentucky homeschool compliance.

Homeschool Fellowship

A Christian homeschool support community providing connection, encouragement, and enrichment opportunities for families. Workshops, field trips, games and sports, and outreach opportunities are engrained in the program. All homeschoolers, regardless of being part of the academy are welcome to attend. This program meets weekly.

Sports and Outreach

ACA offers weekly sports and community outreach opportunities designed to build character and teamwork through a Biblical lens. We welcome all homeschoolers in our community to participate in these programs, regardless of whether they are enrolled in the academy. Sports such as volleyball, wiffleball, soccer, pickleball, basketball, and football are part of the program.

Our Mission

At Appalachia Christian Academy, our mission is to support Christian families in providing a rigorous, well-structured, and biblically grounded homeschool education. We are not a traditional school or classroom. Instead, we operate as a Christian homeschool community and support organization where parents remain the primary instructors, and we provide oversight, records, and guidance.
