Handbook Overview

Appalachia Christian Academy is a Christian homeschool community and support organization (umbrella academy) serving families with students in grades 6–12. We are not a traditional school or classroom. Parents remain the primary instructors for their children at home; our role is to provide structure, academic oversight, transcripts, report cards, graduation documentation, and guidance for Kentucky homeschool compliance, along with optional fellowship and sports programs that enrich the homeschool experience.

Our Mission and Philosophy

Appalachia Christian Academy is a Christian homeschool community and support organization dedicated to providing a Biblically grounded framework for rigorous academics and spiritual maturity. While parents remain the primary instructors at home, ACA provides the structure and oversight required to ensure every course of study is explored through the lens of a biblical worldview.

  • Biblical Worldview: Every lesson is rooted in Scripture, forming a solid moral foundation.
  • Academic Excellence: We strive for the highest standards in core subjects and critical thinking.
  • Character Formation: Developing integrity, humility, and a servant's heart in every student.
  • Community Stewardship: Fostering a deep appreciation for our Appalachian heritage and service to others.

  • Curriculum: A blend of rigorous core subjects and elective programs from providers such as BJU Press, MasterBooks, and Abeka.
